Medication Management and Vaccine Needs of Senior Adults

Posted on January 12, 2022 by Louise Savoie

medication-management-and-vaccine-needs-of-senior-adultsMedication therapy management or MTM is a program from our specialty pharmacy in Northridge, California, which aims to help you manage your medication and health conditions. With this program, our pharmacists will ensure that you get the most benefit out of your medication.

Poly-Med Pharmacy offers a wide range of services to seniors, from hospice pharmacy services. MTM, to immunization services. We can help review your current therapies and treatment and provide appropriate recommendations for you and your doctor.

Furthermore, MTM helps seniors manage the treatment that they receive including immunization. There is a pharmacy in California that can help manage immunization and medication to ensure that senior patients are safe through proper health screening. Before administering the vaccine, we see to it that we know about your health conditions and medical history. In addition to that, vaccination is only administered to qualified and eligible people to prevent any negative and harmful drug interaction.

As we expect growth in our role in reducing preventable diseases for those who do not regularly visit their medical provider, we offer drive-thru flu shot as more convenient access and option for patients. This gives them the opportunity to get vaccinated even if they do not have a physician and would otherwise not get vaccinated.

Lastly, vaccination may have its side effects which are minor and should not be a cause of alarm. If the symptom persists, call your doctor about it.

For more information and to learn more about medication therapy management and immunization, call us at 747-235-3535 or feel free to visit us at 17313 Roscoe Boulevard, Northridge, California 91325.
